Simian Mobile Disco have announced they will release a brand-new album 'Temporary Pleasure' through Wichita Recordings on 17 August 2009. The album will hope to replicate the successes of 2007 debut 'Attack Decay Sustain Release'. It will be preceded by the single ‘Audacity Of Huge’, featuring vocals from Chris Keating from the critically acclaimed Yeasayer on 03 August 2009.
'Temporary Pleasure' was recorded at the bands studio in east London throughout 2008 and 2009, when the band weren’t busy touring their live show, DJing and producing. As well as representing the best of UK dance music the record should no doubt contain some serious anthems, featuring vocal contributions from the likes of Super Furry Animals’ Gruff Rhys and Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor. The album will be available on LP, CD and deluxe limited edition CD.
The women behind the videso 'Synthesise' and '10000 Horses Can't Be Wrong' (below) Kate Moross, will be designing all the artwork for the album and singles, as well as making the video for 'Audacity Of Huge'.
Track listing is as follows:
1) Cream Dream (featuring Gruff Rhys)
2) Audacity of Huge (featuring Chris Keating)
3) 10000 Horses Can't Be Wrong
4) Cruel Intentions (featuring Beth Ditto)
